Achari Paneer

Achari Paneer :

Ingredients:

  1.  Paneer: 250 grams (cubed),
  2.  Tomato: 3 (150 grams),
  3.  Green chilli: 2,
  4.  Ginger: 1 inch piece,
  5.  Oil: 1 tablespoon,
  6.  Chopped coriander: 2-3 tablespoon,
  7.  Fenugreek seeds: ¼ teaspoon,
  8.  Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon,
  9.  Cumin seeds: ½ teaspoon,
  10.  Fennel seeds: 1 teaspoon,
  11.  Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon,
  12.  Asafoetida (hing): 2 pinch,
  13.  Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon,
  14.  Black pepper powder: ¼ teaspoon,
  15.  Red chilli powder: ¼ teaspoon,
  16.  Garam masala: ¼ teaspoon,
  17.  Cream: ½ cup,
  18.  Salt: 1 teaspoon (or to taste).
Method:
               

Step 1:  Make a paste of tomato, green chilli and ginger.
Step 2:  Roast fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds and cumin seeds. And grind them to make a powder.
Step 3: Heat oil in a pan and add asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder and fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, cumin seeds powder (step 2).Roast it. Now add tomato, green chilli, ginger paste (step 1) and red chilli powder.  Fry it till 5-6 minutes on slow flame. Stir occasionally.
Step 4: Add cream in it and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Stir occasionally. Then add ½ cup water, salt, garam masala and green coriander and mix it well.
Step 5: Add paneer in it, mix it well. Cover it with lid and cook it for 3-4 minutes on slow flame.

Achari paneer is ready to serve. Serve achari paneer with chapati, Paratha or rice.
