Mater Paneer Samosa

Matar Paneer Samosa

Ingredients: 
  1. Refined flour (maida): 2cups (250 grms),
  2.  Ghee: ¼ cup (60 grms),
  3.  Salt: ½ tsp (or as per taste),
  4.  Paneer: ½ cup(grated),
  5.  Green peas: ¼ cup,
  6.  Cashews: 10-12 (optional),        
  7.  Green chilly: 2-3 finely chopped,
  8.  Ginger: 1 inch long piece grated,
  9.  Green coriander: 2 tbsp finely chopped,
  10.  Coriander powder: 1 tsp, 
  11.  Garam masala: ¼ tsp,
  12.  Mango powder: ½ tsp,
  13.  Salt: ¾ tsp (or as per taste),
  14. Oil to fry.

    Method:
                           




    Step 1: Take a big bowl, add refined flour, ghee and salt in it and mix it well. Now add lukewarm water in small portions and knead stiff and tight dough. Keep the dough aside for about 20 minutes and cover it.
    step 2: Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add ginger, green chilly and green peas in it and let it cook for 2 minutes till peas get soft. Now, add paneer, salt, green coriander, coriander powder, garam masala, mango powder, red chilly powder and cashews. Stir and mix all the ingredients well. Stuffing is ready turn off the flame.
    step 3: Knead the dough once and make small dough balls (lemon size) and shape them round. Roll out the dough ball to about 8 to 10 inch diameter round with the help of rolling pin, keep it little thick. Now, cut it from center and lift one part in hand. Apply water on the edges with finger and fold it to cone shape. Stuff the cone with filling and close it by applying water on edges and press with finger. Rest the samosas for 30 minutes and cover it with cloth.
    step 4: Heat oil in a pan and add samosa in it to fry. Fry samosa on low or medium flame till golden brown. Take out samosa and serve it with sauce or green chutney. 

    Matar paneer samosas are ready to serve. 
    Serve matar paneer samosas with green and red chutney  or with tomato sauce.
