Naan Khatai (Indian cookies)

Ingredients:

  1.  Refined flour (maida): ½ cup,
  2.  Semolina (suji): ¼ cup,
  3.  Gram flour (besan): ¼ cup,
  4.  Cardamom powder: ½ teaspoon,
  5.  Baking powder: 1 teaspoon,
  6.  Ghee: ½ cup,
  7.  Sugar: ½ cup,
  8.  Almonds: for garnishing.              
                
Method:

Step 1: Take a big bowl, add ghee and sugar in it and mix it very well for about 5-7 minutes.
Step 2: Take another bowl, add refined flour, gram flour, semolina, cardamom powder and baking powder and mix it well.
Step 3: Now add this mixture(step 2) in ghee-sugar mixture(step 1) and mix well to prepare a dough.
Step 4: Prepare small cookies and place them in a baking tray.
Step 5: Pre-heat microwave at 180°C.
Step 6: Garnish cookies with almonds and let them rest for 15 minutes.
Step 7: Bake cookies for 20-25 minutes. Take them out and allow them to cool.
Naan khatai are ready to serve. Enjoy naan khatai with tea.
