Matar paneer kulcha

Ingredients:

For filling:
  1.  Green peas (matar): 1 cup (boiled),
  2.  Grated cottage cheese (paneer): 1 cup,
  3.  Onion: 1 medium (chopped),
  4.  Green chilli: 2 (chopped),
  5.  Cumin seeds: ½ teaspoon,
  6.  Oil: 1 tablespoon,
  7.  Salt: 1 teaspoon (or to taste),
  8.  Red chilli powder: 1 teaspoon,
  9.  Chat masala: 1 teaspoon,
  10.  Garam masala: ½ teaspoon,
For dough:
  1.  Refined flour (maida): 3 cups,
  2.  Milk: 1 cup,
  3.  Oil: 3 tablespoons,
  4.  Baking powder: 1 teaspoon,
  5.  Salt: ½ teaspoon (or to taste),
  6. Butter: as required.                              
Method:

For filling:

Step 1: Put green peas in a blender and grind coarsely.
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds in it. Add onion and cook it for 2 minutes on low flame. Add green peas, salt, red chilli powder, mix it well and cook it for 2-3 minutes. turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
Step 3: Add cottage cheese, chat masala, green chillies, garam masala and mix it well.

For dough:

Step 4: Take a big bowl and add refined flour, salt, baking powder, oil and mix it. Add milk in it and prepare a soft dough and rest it for about 30 minutes.

Making kulcha:

Step 5: Divide dough into equal lemon sized portions.
Step 6: Pat each dough ball into a round disc , place some filling, gather the edges and seal it. Rest them for 5 minutes.
Step 7: Roll it with rolling pin.
Step 8: Heat a non-stick tawa, cook each kulcha from both sides. For better results cover kulcha with lid while cooking.
Step 9: Place kulcha in serving plate and apply some butter on it.
Matar paneer kulcha is ready to serve. Serve hot.

We can also make kulcha in microwave.
Pre-heat microwave at 200ºC and bake matar paneer kulcha for about 20 minutes.
